Their first time was so romantic and passionate. It also looked so tender. Clark & Lana were so young and so much in love. Just by looking at those lovebirds, we could see that they’re each other’s universe. They were so READY for each other. I’m so happy that Clark’s first is Lana as he always dreamed of and vice versa becoz that means they will remember it for the rest of their life. Anyway, I’m trying NOT to get distracted by Tom’s pants but I just CAN’T. LOL.

Irvine Welsh knows why people resent Lana Lang. Ha! Mr. Welsh talks about his book Ecstasy, the film adaptation, and how its stars Adam and Kristin transform it.
Like how the film images (a love story between Adam and Kris) are so strong that he can’t even remember what his own characters were like in the book, and that he had to go back and re-read it to see what they were supposed to be like. LMAO, did he not write this book? Yeah.. funny, right?
I think this is also what happened in Smallville and why some people resent Kristin’s character. Because she and Tom made such strong visceral images that are impossible to forget, when people say he belongs with Lois, it doesn’t compute with a lot of newer Smallville/Superman fans like myself. And this infuriates a whole lot of people.
Anyway, in Smallville, Lana and Clark belong together and Lois is just an obstacle. I know. Funny, right? But that’s how I see it. To borrow Irvine’s words, their images so completely wipeout any history of the orginal story, the orginal story doesn’t matter.
Anyway, the whole interview is so spot on.. so love this guy.

Tom, Kristin and I had a scene and Tom had to come in and say this one line but there was a word he couldn’t remember. Started with a “V”, like valor or vibrant. He kept saying the wrong word so I wrote it on a piece of paper and taped it on my forehead. After three takes he was still messing up so I wrote it on another piece of paper and tattooed it on Kristin’s forehead. So then we’re both standing there when he walked into the scene and the cameras were only on him. It’s a comfortable set.

…She (Lana) is a good person who only wants the best…believes in the best of people or at least has in the past and I think through all of her experiences of people dying randomly and a boyfriend’s trying to kill her…I think she’s starting to trust people less. But she has that ability to see the good in people while Lex was always scared that people would only see the bad of him .
